How to Use your Canon BubbleJet BJC-250 Printer.

Audience:

The intended audience of this manual is all users of the Bubble Jet printer.

Also people wanting to decide whether this type of printer meets their needs.

Concepts:

BubbleJet printer - An ink jet type printer that heats the ink to a boiling point in a nozzle to form a bubble. When the bubble expands there is no room left in the nozzle for the ink and the ink is projected onto the paper.

BJ cartridge - The cartridge that contains the print head and ink.

Printer Driver - The software that sends printing instructions to the printer.

Print head - The printing mechanism that contains print nozzles and ejects the ink for printing.

Procedures:

Unpacking the printer

  1. Remove all items from the box.
  2. Remove all shipping tape and protective materials from the printer.

Hooking up the printer.

  1. Plug in the printer with the AC adapter.
  2. Connect the printer to the computer with a parallel cable.

 

Installing the BJ Cartridge.

  1. Open the front of the printer
  2. Locate the BJ cartridge holder on the right side of the printer.
  3. Ensure that the green lock lever on the cartridge holder is up.
  4. Slide the BJ cartridge onto the yellow mounting base with the print head face down.
  5. Press the green lock lever down until it locks in place.
  6. Close the front cover.
